Your Fibroscan results explained
Your "Liver Fat" score
This is the Blue number on the scan – you will hear the medical community referring to it as the CAP score. The CAP score measures the levels of fat in the liver in decibels per meter (dB/m), this score ranges from 100-400 and can fluctuate over time.
Your " Liver Stiffness" score
You will hear the medical community referring to it as the stiffness or fibrosis score. Your liver stiffness result is measured in kilopascals (KPa), it reflects how hard the liver is.
The IQR %
This is a technical score for the Fibroscan technician – it should be less than 30% for a good scan. Dont worry about this number it is only relevant for the scan operator.
